Tja, O.K., davon mag "G" ausgehen - aber ist das auch so in der Realität?
Und vor allem: Daß die Geschwindigkeit einer Site neuerdings ein Ranking-Kriterium ist, ist für mich ein Indiz (Ratespiel), daß die derzeitige 'durchschnittliche' Aktualität der Browser (Anzahl der gleichzeitigen Requests begrenzt) zugrunde gelegt wird. Von Browsern auszugehen, welche dieses Problem nicht haben, führt Geschwindigkeit als Ranking-Kriterium ad absurdum.
In PageSpeed / YSlow wird jedenfalls massiv darauf gedrungen, durch mehrere Quell-Domains (Sub-Domains) die Last zu verteilen.
Und auf PageSpeed wiederum verweist auch der G-Webmaster Central Blogspot http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/12/how-fast-is-your-site.html - übrigens lustig die ersten Kommentare dort
