It seems that this blog entry is now ranked 12th in the usenet ‘SERPS’ competition.

It is really however just a matter of the number of incoming links and those with the keyword in url also have an advantage. For a dynamic .de tld domain this page isn’t doing too bad. Not that we have entered the competition or have made any effort lol.

Basically he/she who campaigns and gets the most incoming links is going to win this. At least with the ‘SERPS’ keyword.

    Interesting little competition nevertheless.

Anyone have any clue what is going on here? Why is this place #1 for SERPS

Because I’m the best seo this side of nagasaki ;-)

In truth though, it’s based partly on the new localrank filtering. The domain is very large, there is an outgoing link with the term as a filename (worth investigating). PR isn’t too shabby, and there probably other occurences of SERPS in forum threads etc which give it mos tlikely a significant boost in theming (read http://www.abakus-internet-...).
